The Caregiver’s Compass

A workshop for organizations serving or employing people in caregiving roles

Overview

Many of the people your organization serves or employs are quietly managing the demands of caring for an aging parent or loved one living with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, or another progressive condition. It's often invisible, rarely discussed, and almost never supported in a structured way.

This workshop gives them a dedicated space to understand what they're carrying, name the grief that comes with long-term caregiving, and leave with practical tools for sustaining themselves through it. It's designed to be brought directly to your community whether that's your staff, your members, or the people you serve.

What Participants Leave With

  • A clearer understanding of the emotional and mental load of caregiving

  • Language for ambiguous loss: the grief of caring for someone who is still here

  • Tools for protecting their own identity and energy alongside their caregiving role

  • A framework for sustainable limits that doesn't require guilt or justification

Leading With Limits

Helping mission-driven staff build the boundaries that make their work sustainable

Overview

People drawn to service work tend to bring their whole selves to the job. That's often what makes them so good at it and what makes them so vulnerable to burnout. When the mission is personal and the needs are constant, it can be genuinely hard to know where professional responsibility ends and everything else begins.

This workshop helps staff understand why boundaries are difficult in mission-driven environments, not as a personal failing, but as a structural challenge and gives them practical tools for navigating. We work through the specific dynamics that blur lines in nonprofit and community settings: with clients, with colleagues, and for those stepping into leadership roles, with the teams they manage.

What Participants Leave With

  • Real language and strategies they can use right away

  • An understanding of why boundaries feel harder in values-driven work

  • Practical scripts for common boundary challenges with clients and colleagues

  • Tools for recognizing early signs of compassion fatigue in themselves

  • A shared language their team can use to support one another going forward

Finding Your Forward

A workshop for people navigating a major life transition and figuring out what comes next

Overview‍ ‍

Major life transitions such as an empty nest, a health diagnosis, becoming a caregiver, retirement, or a significant loss have a way of leaving people disoriented even when the change itself was expected. The external shift happens, and then comes the quieter, harder question: who am I now, and what do I do with what's next?

This workshop creates space for that question. We look at why transitions shake identity even when we're ready for them, how to find the thread of yourself that runs through every role you've held, and how to take honest stock of where you are before deciding where you're going. It's not about having the answers. It's about helping people feel less alone in the in-between and more equipped to move through it.

What Participants Leave With

  • A framework for understanding why transitions are disorienting and why that's normal

  • Clarity on what they're grieving or releasing, and permission to do so

  • Tools for reconnecting with identity outside of the roles they've lost or left

  • A next right step — not a five-year plan, but somewhere honest to start
